The Townsville Hospital is the central medical hub for a broad regional area. With 460 beds, the recently built (2001) and tertiary public hospital of North Queensland serves patients as far afield as Mackay, Mount Isa and Cape York. It is situated at 100 Angus Drive, Douglas just minutes from your chosen residential destination.

The Mater Misericordiae Hospital Townsville Limited operates the remaining two private hospitals in Townsville. Mater Hospital Pimlico has a present bed capacity of 165. Offering specialist private health care services to a similar regional area, it is approximately a 5 minute drive and is situated at 21 – 37 Fulham road, Pimlico. Mater Hospital Hyde Park (formerly the Wesley Park Haven) is the second arm of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Townsville. A 10 minute drive, it is situated at 9 – 13 Bayswater Road, Hyde Park.

The Good Shepherd Home is the largest aged care facility in North Queensland. Providing hostel care, nursing home care, and day therapy facilities for both residents and the community it is also situated in Douglas just minutes away.

Recreation

Annandale Estate is bounded by the Murray Sporting Complex to the east. This regional sports complex hosts cricket, hockey, basketball, netball, soccer, football, AFL, darts, skate ramp, dirt bike track, and a fenced off-leash dog exercise area with obstacle course ensuring the kids (and the pets) will never be bored.
